Baptist Church Turns 143 Years Old, 13 August

Praise the Lord for His faithfulness! The Baptist Church is 143 years old today, 13 August 2026.

To celebrate, read and be refreshed by OBC’s history by clicking this link: https://oamarubaptist.org.nz/oamaru-baptist-church-history/

On Sunday, 16 August, we will hold our Foundation Sunday Celebration, with the following activities:

  • Worship Service at 10:00 AM and 6:30 PM. Come with a joyful and humble heart as we gather and worship.

  • Picture-taking. Immediately following the service, we will take a group photo. This image will serve as a testament to His faithfulness for both present and future generations to remember.

  • Fellowship Lunch. We love eating together, don’t we? Please bring a plate of food to share. Part of our fellowship is also to share in the preparation, serving, and housekeeping; please feel free to volunteer and enjoy the team spirit.

For your Sunday worship preparation, please read 1 Thessalonians 4:13-5:28.

Also, listen to and meditate on “Sweet Hour of Prayer” – https://youtu.be/EwOPwAVDN7s?si=iG0-1BIiitXBZwOb
