And my God will meet all your needs according to the riches of his glory in Christ Jesus. Philippians 4:19

Our Heavenly Father cares for us deeply and notices both the small and the large things we need.

It’s important to acknowledge, praise, and thank Him. What may seem like a small thing to some can be significant to others.

A week or so ago, I went through to the garage to put an empty cereal packet into my recycling bin. As I did so, I noticed it was pretty full and needed to be taken to the recycling depot.

As I don’t have a car anymore and I felt I couldn’t ask anyone to take my rubbish, or I should say, recycling, away, I even contemplated tipping it all into the wheelie bin.

I did nothing but come back into the living room.

A short while later, my phone rang, and a friend said, “Mary, I am going to the resource centre and wondered if you had anything you would like me to take for you.”

I was stunned, I could hardly believe it.

My friend had been to my place on several occasions, but we had never discussed my need to dispose of my recycling, and it was out of sight in the garage.

I asked her what made her think of ringing me. She said that about a month ago, “when you were waiting for your new fridge to be delivered, your old one was in the garage, and when we were going to have a coffee, I went into the garage to get the milk for mine, and I just noticed then that you had a recycling bin. As I was going today, it just occurred to me to ask you.”

It is good to recognise and praise God for the small blessings, or we might miss the big ones, and remember, Jesus is in the business of recycling.

God notices our small and big needs
The photo isn’t Mary’s recycling. It is for illustration only. 🙂
